I've been on your walking food tour, how is this different?

This is a self guided driving tour of sweet treats all over the Midlands. After you purchase your ticket, you will receive 7 coupons (in which you will receive via email). You will print them out and then exchange each coupon for a sweet treat at each location. You have 2 weeks to use all 7 coupons. The surprise is you don't know what you're going to receive at each location (neither do we!). It could be something created by the shop (that may not even be on the menu yet) or perhaps their best seller.

 

Do I get to pick what treat I receive?

Maybe! It's up to the sweet shop what you receive (which is the fun and exciting part). They may give you the option to pick but most places will have the treat pre selected. It's a chance to try something new! -Can I redeem all the coupons in one day? You can! Or you could do one a day or however you'd like to redeem them! You get to work around your schedule and go when you can, during their open business hours during February 18 - March 4.

When do I receive my coupons for the tour? 

You will receive a PDF of the coupons by February 13th to the email address on file. You will need to print them out and present to each sweet shop to redeem for your sweet surprise. Please email info@columbiafoodtours.com if you have not received it by then.

 

Can I exchange my coupons to redeem more at one location instead of going to all of them?

Unfortunately, not. You get one sweet treat at each location. It'll be fun to see all the different sweet shops Columbia and surrounding cities have to offer.

 

Can I post my photo of my treats online?

Yes! Please do! We'd love to see, as would others! Use #sweetsurprisetreattour

 

Does each person need a ticket?

Yes! If you plan to go with a friend or family member, you will only receive 1 treat per coupon. Most treats won't be large enough to share.

 

What if I want more treats at the sweet shop? Can I purchase more?

Yes! Of course! You can purchase the goods directly from the sweet shop.

 

What if I don't use all the coupons in the 2 weeks?

Unfortunately, the sweet shops will only be able to redeem the coupons for 2 weeks. So make sure to plan ahead and accordingly.

 

Will there be another Sweet Surprise Treat Tour coming up soon?

We hope to have about 4 sweet tours a year, so yes, we hope so! It may have some of the same sweet shops or could be different shops but we like to keep it local. Disclaimer: Make sure to call sweet shops before you go to see if they are open, as some shops may have different hours or close due to unexpected circumstances. Shops are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests.
